The meeting started with celebrations.
Dr, Scheerhorn explained the planning process and how to write a learning target.
Dr. Scheerhorn shared formative assessment strategies with them team and the team discussed formative assessment strategies that they have implemented in their classrooms and some that they may want to attempt in their classroom.
Discussion was held in regards to learning targets on how the ¨Ï can statements¨ and learning targets are the exact same thing.
Question to address next time: How can the related arts team support the school in improving writing?

PLC Notes 8-13-15

The team posted post-it notes on 4 posters:
Discussed Richard DuFour's Group vs. Team video and how that applies to RA Team. Team members discussed current interactions amongst the group and how they can continue to gel.
The PLC cycle was discussed and SMART goal was described.
The team completed an individual template concerning the development of their Team Norms. The team then shared individual ideas with the group to develop Team Norms.
The team was asked to complete the Team Norms document prior to meeting in 2 weeks.
